As a grass roots organization, Beacon Hill looks to the community to get involved. One easy and very effective way is to attend an upcoming event. You will learn more about the program, meet the people involved, and have a chance to plug in. 

June 1, 2012: First Friday Featuring the Guests of Beacon Hill  

Beacon Hill will be hosting a First Friday event in  Anchorage showcasing art work painted by the Guests of Beacon Hill on Friday, June 1st from 6-9 pm. This FREE family-fun event will include live music, finger foods, and work completed by the actual residents of the home.  Join with us and pick up a one-of-a-kind painting to help support the work of Beacon Hill.  Kaladi Brothers Coffee Company, 6921 Brayton Drive, Anchorage, AK 99507.

In an effort to increase awareness for the great need in Alaska for affordable housing, Beacon Hill will be hosting an unusual overnight fundraiser event. Participants will sleep in their car (parked at a secure group location) as if they were a homeless mother that might be eligible for Beacon Hill's services. The community will "sponsor" the participants and the event itself. In the morning, donuts and coffee will be served. We expect this unordinary event to be a tremendous annual event that will help educate Alaskans on the desperate circumstances surrounding homeless families.
