PROVIDE HOPE

Every child belongs in a healthy, loving family. No other environment better delivers the safety, stability, and care vital to a child’s wellbeing. Yet across the United States, a hidden crisis persists: each year, child protection agencies are alerted to over 7 million cases of maltreatment, resulting in more than 400,000 children entering an overburdened foster care system.
In 2015, CarePortal was launched by The Global Orphan Project and has since expanded nationwide, engaging agencies, schools, churches, businesses, and more to deliver proactive, local care for kids. Through this collective impact, real progress is being made to reverse the foster care crisis and transform our society for the better.
By equipping a care-sharing network to meet practical needs—like furniture for a mom starting over after abuse or funds for a dad’s urgent car repair—we unleash the power of community to strengthen families, support reunification, stabilize foster and kinship placements, and accelerate permanence for children.
