FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?

Please contact us anytime by email or by phone at 907-222-0925. We look forward to hearing from you.

What's the first thing I need to do in order to become a Beacon Hill volunteer?

If you would like to volunteer, please complete the volunteer application. A federal background check is required for all volunteers, which may include a fingerprinting process. A Beacon Hill representative will help connect you with a fingerprinting vendor; however, volunteers are asked to pay for this process if required (the cost is approximately $30).

Why does Beacon Hill need to run background checks?

Background checks are run to ensure the complete safety of our volunteers, staff, and families.

Once my application is submitted, what should I expect?

You will receive a call from us within a week to inform you of background check paperwork that needs to be filled out along with any other information that will be needed to process your application.

How much time is needed to volunteer?

We understand that your time is valuable and we have tried to tailor a variety of opportunities with different time requirements. This allows you the freedom to decide when and how you are available to help us.

Thank you for your willingness to partner with us to support and strengthen families in our community!
